Go Travel launches American Dreamer memory foam pillow with InMotion – The Moodie Davitt Report

July 8, 2022 by GFT Reporter

US. Travel accessories specialist Go Travel has launched its American Dreamer memory foam pillow with North American airport retail partner InMotion.

The American Dreamer pillows is one of the first products to be released from Go Travel’s new production line in Chattanooga, Tennessee. According to the brand, shifting production to the US has allowed it to offer tariff-free products for its North American partners.

As reported, Go Travel secured 117 listings with leading consumer technology retailer InMotion (a WHSmith company) in March.

InMotion is also the first retailer to release Go Travel’s new American Dreamer video content through large format digital screens in-store. The pillows are showcased through dedicated stands and a new Quad stand display.

The Quad display offers 360-degree visibility and a flexible layout which highlights Go Travel’s core pillow and travel adaptor products. The four-sided display has a small footprint of 4.5sq ft and can hold 40 different products.

Go Travel General Manager Steve Worden says the new US-made pillow will resonate strongly with domestic passengers in North America

In addition, InMotion is supporting the launch of the American Dreamer memory foam pillow with a dedicated front-of-store pillow stand.

According to Go Travel, the pandemic has given it a chance to refocus on key categories for recovery. The company has invested in retailer support in the form of in-store installations and premium video content.

Go Travel’s range are traditionally impulse purchase products, and the company said that the new easy-to-navigate Quad stands and prime positioning at InMotion’s stores will increase sales.

Go Travel General Manager Steve Worden commented, “Comfort is core to the USA travel accessories market and recovery is expected to be quicker in the USA as 80% of passengers are domestic. Partnering on American Dreamer with InMotion will allow us to focus on replicating the strong performance we see in our more established markets.”

“The American Dreamer hits a sweet spot for InMotion in terms of price and performance and being ‘Made in America’ gives it a unique selling point that will appeal to many customers,” added InMotion Senior Vice President Pete Newbould. “We are seeing signs of recovery in passenger numbers in recent weeks; domestic leisure passengers, for whom the American Dreamer is a perfect product, are returning to the air.”
